Our luxury, self-catering castle has been specifically fitted out with a state-of-the-art kitchen containing all of the equipment needed to help prepare a simple breakfast or create an exquisite banquet. There is a wonderful range of food options available for all occasions. Most people visiting the self-catering and historic castle use one of our recommended suppliers, where we can assist with deliveries, but an alternative is to bring or source your own supplies.
As well as this, a local chef/catering can be arranged for either part, or the entire duration to prepare fabulous meals. The chef can create three or four course meals accompanied by paired wines to make your stay extra special. Please note all prices are a guide, and can be adjusted according to numbers, specific menu requirements or other bespoke needs. There may also be price adjustments from suppliers.
We have a wonderful local driver who has a range of transportation options from a car to a mini bus for single person to multiple person trips.
A favorite for a wonderful day event no matter the weather. A local friendly expert will bring tomahawks, archery and cross bows to the castle for guests to enjoy in the grounds. This activity is suitable for all ages (Five years and up). Please note it is only available for groups above six people. Packages are booked upon request and can be adopted to suit bigger, smaller, child and adult only groups, please contact enquiries@fortercastle.co.uk for a bespoke quote for your group.
New in 2025, we have a therapist who can come to Forter Castle and offer a range of spa treatments from pedicures to full body massages.
A local bagpiper can come for two hours and pipe you awake or simply stir the emotions of days gone by at any time.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see a variety of stunning birds of prey flying demonstration at Forter Castle for a fixed period (approximately two hours). The demonstration will include multiple species of birds including owls, hawks, kites, falcons, buzzards, vultures, caracaras and mighty eagles.
A wonderful chance to have a local band playing traditional music whilst you and your guests are guided through famous Scottish dances from the comfort of the Great Hall.
